ParkMobile
Parking and Transportation offers hourly visitor parking at various locations on Grounds through ParkMobile. The Central Grounds Garage is UVA's main visitor parking location and is conveniently located under the University Bookstore. Parking and Transportation reserves the right to adjust ParkMobile zone availability and pricing on University of Virginia Grounds. Ensure that your license plate is visible and facing the drive lane to be scanned by enforcement to not receive a citation. ParkMobile can also be accessed via phone by calling 877-727-5758 ($5 registration fee by ParkMobile if account is set up through phone call).

Accessible Parking
DMV-issued disability plates and placards are honored in disability stalls in Central, West, and North Grounds, and in event disability parking (exception: visit UVA Athletics for specifics regarding football). Disability stalls in the Health System are reserved for patients and hospital visitors. For more information, contact Parking & Transportation during business hours at 434-924-7231.
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Does it matter what parking space I park in within a ParkMobile zone?
- As long as a space isn't labeled otherwise, e.g. ADA, Service Vehicle, temporary P&T signage, you can park in any space in that zone.
- Do I get a refund if I leave before my parking session is over?
- No. There is no refund for any unused time or ending a parking session early.
- What if I don't have my cell phone?
- There are pay stations on the 2nd and 3rd level of Central Grounds Garage that allows payment for parking without a cell phone.
- What if there is a P&T sign in a ParkMobile zone saying I can't park here?
- Temporary P&T signage always has priority. You will most likely see these signs when zones needs to be vacated for a big event, e.g. a home football game. Follow the instructions of the signage to avoid receiving a citation and/or towing.
- How does P&T know I paid ?
- Your ParkMobile parking session information is accessed by P&T’s enforcement team via your license plate number. Ensure that your license plate is visible and facing the drive lane to be scanned by enforcement to not receive a citation.
- What if I paid for parking but received a parking citation?
- The citation may be appealed. For more information, please visit P&T’s citations and enforcement webpage.
- Why am I getting the following error message: "Cannot Start Parking Session. Payment failed, please retry or add another payment method."
- Confirm that your payment card has not expired and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the parking. If you are using a promo code, it may not work if Apple Pay is set as your payment method. Change your payment method and try again.
- Does it matter what parking space I park in within a ParkMobile zone?
Visiting UVA Health?
Parking in the Lee Street Garage and the 11th Street Garage is free for patients with validation. When you enter the garage, grab a parking ticket and have it validated at the registration desk when you check-in.

NOTE: Vehicles over 6’8” will not fit on the Lee Street Garage. Use the 11th Street Garage, enter from 11th Street, and park on Level B.
