Contractor parking is available for sale in parking lots near the John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ).
Note that on event days, some or all of the JPJ parking lots are subject to vacate requirements in accordance with posted signs. Weekday vacate times are 4PM or later with partial and weekend vacate times potentially being earlier.
Daily access, which is best for those who will park from 1 to 30 days, to the JPJ lots can be purchased through the ParkMobile app, Zone 5520. Current rates: https://parking.virginia.edu/parkmobile-zones

As of October 2022, companies that already have 2022/2023 permits, please note someone from Parking & Transportation will be in touch soon to swap the previously issued permits with the contractor permit.
FAQ
Can contractors pay to park in the Emmet/Ivy Garage?
No. Daily, hourly, and/or contractor parking is not available in the Emmet/Ivy Garage.
Can contractors park anywhere other than JPJ?
For projects in the Health System, on West Grounds, or on Central Grounds, contractor parking is not available in UVA parking inventories for most of the year. If the project is located in certain other areas of Grounds during off-peak times (Example: North Grounds during winter break), there may be other options. Submit the form to begin a discussion about options.
Can contractors use UTS bus services?
Yes! Contractors can use whatever bus line currently in service to reach their project site. The UTS Gold and Silver Lines are the two routes serving JPJ.
Does the UVA project manager for the project need to be contacted in advance?
No, the form below can be submitted without prior contact with the project manager.
How long will it take to get parking access?
Daily access is provided immediately upon use of the ParkMobile App. For longer term needs, allow 3 business days for a response after submitting the form.
What if a parking citation is issued?
Vehicles illegally parked in UVA parking lots are subject to ticketing and towing. Citation fines range from $50-$300 depending on the violation. Additional penalties are possible for late payment and referrals to collections. UVA project managers will not void citations.
What if the permit is shared among several different vehicles? Do all license plates need to be provided?
