FINDING THE RIGHT PARKING OPTION
Parking throughout Grounds is limited and is managed by the Department of Parking & Transportation (P&T). Parking is managed on Grounds by license plate and some parking access is only tracked digitally. Therefore, be prepared to provide the license plate of the vehicle in use at the time of purchase.
Except at meters or in attended lots, all staff, faculty, students, and other University affiliated personnel must purchase parking permits in order to park in University controlled areas. In many areas, parking permits can be purchased by the hour, day, week, month, or academic year.
- Eligibility, pricing, and duration options vary depending on location. If interested in permit parking, read the applicable section below and review rates and availability/eligibility.
- In metered and attended parking areas, hourly fees apply in accordance with the posted signs.
- The Parking System map can be found HERE.
- The UVA Northridge Medical Park parking map can be found HERE.
Motorcycle and Mopeds
Motorcycle and moped parking areas have been designated throughout Grounds. A map can be viewed HERE.
UVA Motorcycle/Moped parking permits are also honored in all UVA parking areas designated as Blue/Commuter. A UVA Motorcycle/Moped parking permit, displayed on the left front fork, is required whenever parked in these areas. More details can be found HERE.
