Night Pilot Route changes in effect 

Health System Commuter Enhancements

Listening to the feedback received from team members is of the utmost importance to UVA Parking and Transportation. Through your valuable input we learn how our services can have the most positive impact on your work day.

We heard you; and we are pleased to announce

  • Bus capacity has been increased during peak times on the U-Hall route
  • Between the hours of 6:30-8 p.m., we have been able to decrease the wait times between buses from 15 minutes to 10 minutes getting you to your vehicles and on with other important parts of your lives as quickly as possible

As we continue to learn from you, we are committed to reviewing our processes and creating opportunities to improve our service to you. Please stay tuned for these service enhancements in the coming months.

  • LCD real-time shuttle arrival signage at 4 primary bus stop locations – U-Hall, Scott Stadium, Lee Street and lower JPA
  • Increased Health System Transit Service (HSTS) between the hours of 8 p.m. and midnight — one shuttle every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes
  • GPS tracking on buses as well as HSTS shuttles for up-to-date locator and arrival information

 

As a reminder, the 11th Street Parking Garage is available to Medical Center team members for after-hours parking. The permit is free and allows for parking Monday–Friday, 5:30 p.m.–9 a.m., and any weekend shift or holiday.
