UTS (University Transit Service) is a fare-free transit service committed to providing safe, reliable, efficient, and friendly transit service to University of Virginia students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Please review our Transportation Passenger Rules before using our services.

Service Levels and Routes

UTS operates at different service levels throughout the year depending on the academic calendar, clinic holidays, university holidays, event impacts, and inclement weather. The following information reflects approximate service times and does not reflect current road conditions or special events. Health System Routes

Due to ongoing construction, the Redline and Blueline will detour until further notice. All stops will be serviced but expect delays.

REDLINE

Weekday Service Times
  • 5:00AM - 7:00AM
  • 2:30PM - 8:00PM

Note: During Weekday, Exam, Recess, and Summer Service, permit holders who park at Scott Stadium and need to return to the Red lots before Redline service resumes at 2:30 PM should use the UTS Orange Line. During UVA Health Commuter Weekday Service, the Blueline will drop off midday Red Lot commuters at Scott Stadium before continuing to the Emmet/Ivy Garage.

Lost and Found

The UTS lost and found is located at 1101 Millmont Street. Any items left on a transit bus will remain there until the end of the day. Please call 434-924-7711 and the dispatcher will help you identify the bus or confirm if your item has been brought in. University Transit Service policy prohibits transit operators from discussing lost items over handheld radios. Items not in the UTS lost and found may have been brought to the lost and found in Newcomb Hall, or the University Police Department. University Transit Service is not responsible for items lost or left on the bus.
