UVA FlexRide

UVA FlexRide is a scheduled or on-demand, fare-free, curb-to-curb para-transportation service for UVA students and employee, who, due to a disability, are not able to use the UVA Transit fixed-route system. Students may visit the Student Disability Access Center Website for more information about transportation options.

Operational Times

Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 7:00PM

FlexRide operates during the above hours when Academic Route service is also operating.

Application

In order to use UVA FlexRide services, an application must be completed. Completed applications can be sent via email to [email protected]. Starting August 10, applications can be completed via the Rider Hub website.

UVA FlexRide Service Area 

The service area covers the entirety of UVA Grounds and extends three-quarters of a mile beyond the UVA Transit bus routes in all directions.

• To the south, the service area goes to I-64.
• To the west, the service area goes to Route 29.
• To the north, the service area goes to the 250 Bypass.
• To the east, the service area goes to McIntire Road/5th Street.
• The service area also includes the Northridge Medical Park.
