The University of Virginia’s University Transit Service (UTS) was recently ranked #80 in the Public Fleets category at the NAFA Fleet Management Association 2025 Best Fleet Awards. This program acknowledges highly successful fleets in the Americas that best exemplify innovation and performance in the public transportation industry. Furthermore, UTS is #2 among the select few university fleets, ranked alongside the University of Alabama and Indiana University. Their initiative to reduce carbon output from diesel buses and transition towards a fully electric fleet had also earned them the rank of #20 in NAFA's Green Fleets in North America category in 2024.
