Parking in fire lanes, roadways, or ADA spaces without the appropriate credentials is always prohibited.
Citations written for ADA and fire lane violations are $300 and are not eligible for warnings.
How does parking for Move Out work?
Students must move out of their dorms by Saturday, May 11th at noon or 24 hours after their last exam, whichever comes first.
Please use the following guidelines for parking during Move Out:
- Close-in Parking without a valid permit is only available while actively moving out (max of 30 minutes).
- Long-term parking is available in the John Paul Jones Arena lots
- Check signs at the entry to the lot or at the space before parking - only lots listed under your dorm are available for parking
- When in doubt - call Parking & Transportation at 434-924-7231
- Leave someone with your vehicle while you are moving out
- Parking availability in most lots increases after 5pm when staff/faculty leave for the day
