Important P&T Information and Updates

  • Please see our Service Schedule for important changes to transit and parking service levels during the change from winter service to service for the spring semester. Parking enforcement for all locations will remain in effect unless otherwise noted on the Service Schedule. 
  • Use our Operating Status page for updates during times of inclement weather.
  • Safe Ride services are currently provided by Yellow Cab of Charlottesville. Yellow Cab offers the ability to book in advance and track the vehicle. Call (434) 242-1122 to request a ride. Find more information about Safe Ride provided by Yellow Cab, HERE.
  • Important details on Safe Ride service:
    • Safe Ride services are available daily from 5:00 AM to 7:30 AM and 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
  • Parking meters and pay stations in all applicable parking locations have been removed or deactivated. Please use ParkMobile to pay for metered parking.
  • Parking permits, including student permits can be purchases via the Online Parking Portal

P&T personnel can often respond to phone and email inquiries on a same-day or next-day basis. Customer service representatives are available by phone, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 434-924-7231 and by email at parking@virginia.edu.

If you would like to schedule an in-person appointment, please note:

  1. Appointments are not available on a same-day or next-day basis. Plan at least three (3) business days ahead.
  2. Only one (1) customer will be served at a time.
  3. Customers and P&T personnel will observe physical distancing and will adhere to UVA’s face covering and other safety and sanitization protocols.
