Customer Service:

Enforcement:

  • License Plates - Parking enforcement will be conducted by license plate. Please use the enhanced Online Parking Portal or contact us at parking@virginia.edu  to keep license plates up to date.
  • Electronic Citations – Citations may be issued via email rather than placed on vehicles.

Annual Permits vs. Daily/Weekly Permits:

  • For those with annual permits scheduled to expire on August 15, an email from P&T will arrive in the coming two weeks to either renew that permit now or put the permit on hold for a year.
  • Annual parking permits remain the best option in the following cases:
    • Those parking on Grounds three or more days per week.
    • Those who do not want to purchase a daily or weekly permit online as needed.
  • For those parking on Grounds less than three days per week, new options are now available including:
    • Delay purchase of an annual permit for up to a year. (Permit holders who delay purchasing an annual permit will be able to repurchase their same annual permit at any time through August 2021.)
    • Access to hourly, daily, weekly permits in close-in locations. These options reduce overall costs and potentially reduce reliance on UTS.

Finding the Right Option and Taking the Next Steps

  • The charts below may help you evaluate and take the next steps. If you would rather speak with someone to help figure it all out and take the next steps, contact P&T.
