Commute Concierge

"Not only am I reducing my carbon footprint but, between not paying for parking or gas, I'm saving a significant amount of money each month."

- Kimberley Barker, Health Sciences Library

We often hear from UVA employees who were surprised to learn about an alternative transportation option that improved their commute to work. They excitedly recount how they now leave their cars at home while saving money, time, and the environment. At the same time, we understand that the notion of participating in alternative transportation can be daunting. There are many options, details to consider, and everybody's situation is different. With this in mind, we have created the Commute Concierge program to help educate and bridge the gap for those that are interested in alternative transportation, but don't have the time, energy, or know how to take that next step.

What Is It and How Does It Work?

Commute Concierge is a free service designed to identify your optimal commute to UVA based on your needs and the three Cs of alternative transportation:

  • Cost
  • Convenience
  • Conscience

After filling out the interest form below, our mobility experts will review your responses and provide you with a summary of your best alternative transportation options and explain how each can decrease the cost, increase the convenience, and/or minimize your commute's impact on the environment and community. From there, we address any questions or concerns you have and help you take the next step in implementing your new commute.
